Join us for our annual MLK Day of Service!
Please consider joining members of the Calvert community as we celebrate Martin Luther King’s legacy on January 17, 2011. Dr. King devoted his life’s work to causes of equality and social justice. He taught that through nonviolence and service to one another, problems such as hunger and homelessness, prejudice and discrimination can be overcome. Dr. King’s teachings can continue to guide us in addressing our nation’s most pressing needs---poverty, economic insecurity, job loss and education. Help us help others by volunteering a few hours of your time. Make sandwiches for Our Daily Bread, scarves for veterans, holiday decorations for children at the Mt. Washington Children’s hospital or join other families in a sing-a-long. All ages are welcome! If your interest has been sparked, please sign-up through the email that was recently sent.
